November 2014. UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is home to one of the world’s leading potato development programs. Much of the work on potatoes is done at the Hancock Agricultural Research Station in central Wisconsin. Former student, Ryan Curtin visited the station while they harvested the potato research plots and produced the video. Unlike commercial potato harvest, research potatoes get individual attention including visual and electronic examinations. The data is then used to evaluate varieties for release to commercial growers. Music by Maffa Rico.
