Young farmers, or farmer wives or farmers boyfriends — seems like some of us are going to have to get dirty in the office– leadership is needed all over.MOFGA’s mission is to help farmers and gardeners: grow organic food, fiber and other crops; protect the environment; recycle natural resources; increase local food production; support rural communities; and illuminate for consumers the connection between healthful food and environmentally sound farming practices.
MOFGA’s Executive Director oversees a vibrant organization of members in 7,000 homes and businesses, more than 1,500 highly involved volunteers, and a staff of more than thirty. The Executive Director is an active and creative fundraiser, and a clear and compelling communicator who represents MOFGA to the public, the Maine State Legislature and the US Congress.

Review of candidates will begin on February 11, 2013. The hiring process will remain open until MOFGA finds the appropriate candidate. MOFGA anticipates filling the position by June 2013.
